Abled Therapy offers compassionate care

Whether through conversation, visuals, hands-on activities, or reflection, I adapt each counselling session to create a space where growth feels natural and achievable for you. This is your journey - I’m here to walk alongside you in a way that makes sense for you.

My approach is entirely client-focused, and aim to support you in the way that best suits your needs. I specialise in anxiety and depression counselling, couples counselling, loss and grief, and disability and care counselling. You can choose between in-person or online sessions, and I value accessible counselling, if you’re experiencing financial hardship and have a Mental Health Care Plan, discounted sessions are available.

About me

Hi, I'm Bec

I am a registered counsellor with a Master of Counselling and a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). I offer a safe, compassionate space to help people untangle complex emotions, make sense of their experiences, and prevent emotional pain from taking up unnecessary room in their lives. Using evidence-based counselling approaches, I support individuals to move toward healing, resilience, and meaningful personal growth.

Alongside my counselling work, I bring over 25 years of experience as a registered nurse, including 23 years in paediatric oncology. These roles have allowed me to walk closely with people through grief, loss, anxiety, disability, and life-changing circumstances. I have learned that joy and sorrow, doubt and faith often coexist, and I believe healing happens when we create space for both. Counselling is offered in person or online, and I would be honoured to walk this path with you.

Counselling therapy provides a space to process the pain while making room for hope, helping you navigate life with both sorrow and joy hand in hand. You don't have to carry it alone-healing begins when you allow yourself to be heard. I can walk beside you as your in-person or online counsellor.

Couples counselling offers a supportive, non-judgemental space for partners to explore challenges, understand unhelpful patterns in their relationship, and strengthen communication and emotional connection. Whether you’re navigating recurring conflict, feeling disconnected, adjusting to life changes, or wanting to deepen your relationship, therapy focuses on helping both partners feel heard and understood while working towards healthier patterns and shared goals.
